Leave blank for ongoing employment through the end of the bonus period.
Within the bonus period, for example unpaid leave, unexcused absences or sick days covered by a sickness benefit.

How the Easter bonus is calculated

For employment throughout the period, the bonus starts at half a month’s pay. For a shorter period you get 1/15 of half a month’s pay per 8 calendar days, with any remaining days counted proportionally. The leave allowance adjustment adds about 4.1667%.

Example with a 14 March start date

At €1,500 gross per month, 48 days through 30 April give a base of €1,500 ÷ 2 ÷ 15 × 48 ÷ 8 = €300. The €12.50 leave adjustment brings the bonus to €312.50 gross.

The standard deadline is Holy Wednesday. An employer can settle the part for the rest of the bonus period by 30 April. Compare the estimate with the gross amount on the “Δώρο Πάσχα” line of your payslip.
